Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Always Reviewed website (alwaysreviewed.com) and its free pilot request form. Sending the form is only a request for us to contact you about the pilot. It does not start any service. If you later decide to become a customer, the service will be covered by a separate agreement and privacy terms, which you will be asked to accept before anything starts.
Who we are
Always Reviewed is a new business run by its founders. We have not formed a separate company yet. When we do, that company will take over running Always Reviewed and we will update this policy to name it. You can reach us at hello@alwaysreviewed.com.
1. What we collect
When you fill in the pilot request form:
- your name
- your business name
- your email address
- your phone number, if you give one (optional)
- roughly how many customer visits your business has a month (a range you pick)
- anything you type in the “Anything else?” box (optional)
Recorded automatically with each request:
- the date and time we received it, and a reference number we create
- your browser’s user-agent string, which names your browser, its version and your device’s operating system
- the country your request came from, as estimated by our hosting provider from your IP address. Our website code does not store your IP address itself.
If you email us: your email address, your message and anything you attach.
What we don’t collect: the review calculator on our home page runs entirely in your browser, so the numbers you type there are never sent to us. We don’t ask for payment details. Please don’t put sensitive information, like health details, bank or card numbers, or government ID numbers, in the form.
2. Cookies, analytics and tracking
Our own website code sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking scripts, and our fonts are served from our own site. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may run automatic security checks that block bots and abuse. These can load a small Cloudflare script and set strictly necessary security cookies. We don’t use them to track you or for advertising.
If you arrive through a partner link, we remember the partner code on your device for up to 90 days so the partner gets credit.
3. How we use your information
- to contact you about the pilot by email, or by phone if you gave us a number, and to answer your questions
- to understand your business before we talk, and to see whether the pilot is a good fit
- to keep a record of who asked to hear from us, and when
- to protect the site from spam and abuse
We don’t use it for anything else, and we won’t add you to an unrelated mailing list. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will.
4. Who can see it
- The Always Reviewed founders, through a private inbox that needs a secret key to open.
- An AI assistant service the founders use to run the business. It checks for new requests and posts each new request’s name, business, email and phone number to the founders’ private group text chat. It also runs the email inbox at the address above.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website and stores the requests.
- Email and messaging providers that carry our messages to you and alerts to the founders.
- Others, only when needed: if the law requires it, to protect people’s rights or safety, or if Always Reviewed is transferred. For example, it will move to the company we form to run Always Reviewed.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your request as long as we need it to follow up about the pilot and keep a record of our conversation with you, or until you ask us to delete it. Requests are not deleted automatically at the moment. We delete them by hand. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
6. Your choices
Email hello@alwaysreviewed.com from the address you used on the form, and tell us what you want:
- See what we have about you, or get a copy
- Correct something that’s wrong
- Delete your request and our record of it
- Stop us contacting you
We reply within 45 days, and it’s free. If the request comes from a different address, we may ask you to confirm it’s really you.
7. US state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you and get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale, of targeted advertising and of certain profiling.
- What we collect: identifiers (name, email, phone), business information (business name and size), device information (browser user-agent) and approximate location (country only). We get it from you, from your browser and from our hosting provider. Why we collect it is in section 3, and who receives it is in section 4.
- No sale, no ad sharing: we don’t sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. We don’t ask for sensitive personal information.
- How to ask: email us as in section 6. You can also use an authorized agent, and we may ask the agent for proof that you authorized them.
- Appeals: if we turn down a request, reply with the word “Appeal” and we will review it and answer within 45 days.
- No penalty: we won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
Some of these laws may not apply to a business our size, but we honor these requests from anyone, wherever they live.
8. Security
Your request travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection and is stored in a private data store that can only be read with a secret key. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
9. Children
This website is for businesses. It is not directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new version number and effective date. If a change would materially affect how we use information we already have, we will email the people affected before it applies. You can ask us for earlier versions.
