How it works

Three steps. Nothing to install.

  1. A customer visits

Same as always. Nothing changes in how you work.

  2. They get one friendly email

From your business, with a link to your Google page. You approve the wording first.

  3. They leave an honest review

We draft your reply for you to OK, and send a short report every week.

Where your reviews go

Why now

Reviews matter more than they did a year ago.

AI

AI answers pull from your reviews.

Google Maps uses Gemini to summarize what your reviewers say.1 Fresh ones keep that summary current, so keep them coming.

Reviews go stale in 3 months.

74% of consumers only care about reviews from the last three months.2

In more detail

We ask. You approve. You get a weekly report.

Built for appointment businesses that live on their Google profile: salons and barbers, auto repair shops, pet groomers, fitness and yoga studios, and home services.

  1. Ask every customer for a review

After a visit, each customer gets one short email from your business with a direct link to your Google review page. Everyone gets the same email — we never screen out the unhappy ones. It’s fair, and Google’s rules don’t allow asking only the happy ones.

  2. Draft replies for you to approve

When Google emails you about a new review, forward it to your private Always Reviewed address. We email back a drafted reply in your voice. Approve or edit it, then post it on Google. We only see the reviews you forward to us.

  3. Send you a short weekly report

Review requests sent, reminders, unsubscribes and the replies we drafted. Plain numbers, once a week.

Brand names and logos belong to their owners. Always Reviewed isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by them.

  • Sound like you

The request email and every reply are written in your voice, under your business name. A barbershop and a tire shop should not sound the same, and they won’t.

  • Keep it honest

No fake reviews, no discounts or freebies for reviews, no hiding bad ones. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and we always honor it.

  • Run on email only

No texting, no calls to your customers. One request per customer, at most one friendly reminder, and that’s it.

Got 30 seconds, Jordan?

Hi Jordan,

Just a quick follow-up from your class on Tuesday. If you have 30 seconds, an honest review on Google would mean a lot to a small studio like ours.

This is the last time we’ll ask.

FAQ

Questions

What do you need from me?

Your Google review link and a way for your customer list to reach us. Using Square? A direct connection is available on request. With Vagaro, Mindbody, Wix, Booksy or most other systems, you upload a customer list in about two minutes. Don’t collect customer emails? We’ll make you a free printable QR counter sign. We only use a first name, an email address and a visit date.

Do I have to switch my booking software?

No. Keep what you use. Export your client list and upload it. No system? A spreadsheet works, or use our counter QR sign.

Do you only ask the happy customers?

No. We ask every customer, the same way, with the same link. Filtering out unhappy customers before they reach Google — “review gating” — breaks Google’s review policy, and the FTC’s 2024 rule on fake reviews bans suppressing negative ones. It also backfires. A profile full of honest reviews, with good replies to the bad ones, is what people trust.

Who do you email, and how often?

Only your own customers, after a visit: one request per customer during the pilot, and at most one reminder. Every email says who it is from and carries a working unsubscribe link, and anyone who unsubscribes is never emailed again. We can’t see who has already reviewed you, which is one reason we stop at a single reminder.

How do replies work?

When you start, we help you turn on one email forwarding rule (about 2 minutes, one time; works with Gmail, Outlook and most others) that sends Google’s new-review emails to your private Always Reviewed address. After that, every new review reaches us on its own and we email you a drafted reply. You approve or edit it, then tap to copy it and open Google to post. We only see the review emails that rule sends; we don’t log into your Google profile, and we don’t post on your behalf.

What happens when someone leaves a bad review?

It reaches us through the same forwarding rule and we draft a calm reply the same day. You approve or edit it before anything goes up. We can’t remove reviews and we won’t pretend to — a good public reply is what the next customer actually reads.

Do you text my customers?

No. Everything goes out by email, from your business name.

Do you offer customers anything for a review?

No discounts, credits or freebies. Google doesn’t allow incentives for reviews, so we just ask nicely and make it one tap. And we never charge you per review — a flat monthly price keeps our incentives clean too.

What about customer privacy?

We use a first name, an email address and a visit date. We never sell or share your customer list, and nothing goes into our emails beyond a first name and a thank-you. We will put that in writing before the pilot starts.

When does my pilot start?

Your 30 days start when your first review requests go out, so setup time never eats into your pilot.

What is the founding price?

Our first clients pay $30 a month (about $1 a day) and keep that price for as long as they stay with us. There is no countdown and no fake spot counter on this page.

What if it does not work for us?

Cancel anytime in your first 30 days and you pay nothing. Just email us. If you stay and later change your mind, it’s month-to-month — email us and you won’t be billed again.

Does this help with AI search?

More people now ask Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT or Perplexity for “a good mechanic near me.” Those answers can draw on public reviews and business listings.

Fresh reviews keep your Google profile current as search changes. We don’t guarantee placement in AI answers.
